Due to asthma & allergies, Dan avoided traditional drinks like beer, wine & high sugar cocktails

High levels of sulfite, tannin & artificial ingredients caused a bad reaction

While travelling Asia & America he discovered and drank Sake which didn’t trigger his asthma or allergies

Back in the UK he struggled to find a natural, low-calorie cocktail that actually tasted good...

This inspired us to create our own, initially making sake cocktails in our kitchen

After realising how much everyone loved them it sparked an idea and Kwenched was born

Our Sake

We are proud to import the highest quality sake direct from an award winning brewery in Hyogo, Japan

Dan started drinking sake because other than being delicious it has no sulfites, is very low in congeners & acid and contains a probiotic - lactobacillus

Our brewery has been perfecting sake for more than 130 years and is 1 of the only 4 breweries to supply the Japanese royal family (some may say Kwenched is royally appointed)
